Some stuff I like a lot

Here are some vintage jewels and some modern costume jewels that I like the most. some were bought years ago, some I got from my Mom, and one ring I am obsessed with right now was bought this winter. I used to throw away stuff that got out of fashion, I just loooved to get rid of old things, but sometimes you miss them afterwards and want  `em back.

Last summer me and my Mom took a train trip to one of the most picturesque places in our country, Sofiivsky Park,which is located in the northern part of Uman city. It was founded in 1796 by Court Stanislav Potock, a Polish noble. The park was named after his wife Sofiya, and built a gift on her Birthday( generous, huh?). By original idea of the architect, the park illustrates different parts of Homer`s poems Odyssey and Iliad.

We spent the entire day walking thruogh avenues of impressive old park, had very delicious shish kebab at the local cafe and returned home a bit tired but still very happy ! This splendid place will always hold a special place in my heart! Come and check it out yourself! It is definitely worth trying!

Some pics from the holidays

This year I did nothing on holidays but slept and ate and watched way too much movies on Animal planet channel! Busy with all of these important things I managed to find some time for baking my very first cake. Not once have I seen my Mom baking it ( I even helped, mostly cleaning out the mess in the kitchen) but I have never done it all by myself! Yes, I like to cook, but baking pastry from scratch I thought was a little bit too much! And again Never say never! I was home alone and tried to impress everyone when they return and it worked out! Needless to say how proud I was of myself as my family and friends said it was the most delicious cherry cake they have ever tried! I know they may be a little biased, but still!

Pics are really lousy. I know. I was very hungry.

Also I decided to collect  little snowman-like Christmas-tree decorations. For now I only got four ones and a candle with a snowman picture on it.

I got for Christmas a present I could not even dream of! The most awesome earrings, designed and crafted by my old fellow! They shine and sparkle all the time with different colors! And I enjoy the thought  that nobody else has earrings like these!

The photo does eats half of the brightness but still I think it looks quite  pretty!

Autumn, beautiful

 When I was thinking which photos I should put in this blog first of all, I suddenly remembered perfect evening spent with my Mom in abandoned park near our home. The quality of these pics is not very good, it is even more bad , but they are precious to me for memories they bring along. My Mom got back from work, we went to the market , bought two portions of chocolate ice-cream (yum, I just like eating out, somewhere on the beach or in the park) and had a long stroll among  the trees. I don`t know why I look so sad on most of the pics, we had lots of fun,really!
